I am very happy to welcome you to the Waterbabies Swim School. I will do my best to make it a fun autumn term with lots of splashing and swimming .
Four weeks into our autumn term and already all the classes are full. The children and I are working hard on our Water Confidence, Swimming Techniques and Life Saving skills.
This term I decided to add more lessons for children ages 4 and up, Now I have 4 classes with children from the age of 4 to 7 years old.
I follow the Swiss Swimsport.ch curriculum where we work with 7 stages’.
Krebs,Seepferd,Frosch,Pinguin, Tintenfisch, Krokodil and Eisbär.
I have introduced swim caps in all my classes, including the private lessons. This gives me a better overview of where I have the children in the water.
The caps also keep the hair out of the children's face when we practice the correct breathing techniques. The children then gain more confidence and progress faster.
The lifeguards also approve of the swim caps.
Please remember to bring a spare set of clothes or a swimsuit to change into when you bring your child to their swimming lesson. The lifeguards enforce the rules with regards to hygiene at the pool area very seriously.
Waterbabies.ch will go on autumn holiday from the 9th of October to the 24th of October 2011.
Josefine Bill from Copenhagen will be assisting me and taking some pictures of me and my classes Thursday and Friday the 10th and 11th of November 2011. You will all hear more about the event after the holidays.
